Terms of Service & Project Use

Practical terms for using this portfolio website, requesting development work, and understanding how project engagements are handled.

Agreement Overview

By browsing PHP Horizons, contacting the developer, or requesting a project discussion, you agree to these terms. These terms cover the website and early project inquiries. A separate written proposal, invoice, scope document, or contract will control any paid development work if it says something different.

Portfolio Website Use

Informational Purpose

This website presents skills, services, sample interfaces, and selected portfolio material for review and inquiry purposes.

Demo Content

Screenshots, sample records, names, metrics, and app flows may be fictionalized to protect confidentiality.

Portfolio examples show capability and approach. They are not a promise that every future project will use the same design, stack, timeline, or feature set.

Project Inquiries & Engagements

  • Scope first: Work begins only after requirements, deliverables, timeline, pricing, and communication expectations are confirmed.
  • Milestones: Larger projects may be divided into design, development, testing, launch, and support milestones.
  • Changes: Requests outside the approved scope may require revised pricing, timeline, or written approval before implementation.
  • Client input: Delays in content, access, feedback, payment, or approvals can affect delivery dates.

Payments, Access & Client Content

Payment amounts, due dates, refund rules, and delivery checkpoints are handled in the project proposal or invoice. Deposits, staged payments, or launch balances may be required depending on the work.

  • System access: Clients are responsible for providing accurate hosting, domain, email, API, and account access needed for the project.
  • Content ownership: Clients confirm they have rights to any text, images, files, trademarks, data, or credentials they provide.
  • Sensitive data: Do not send production passwords, private keys, or customer records unless there is a clear secure transfer process.

Intellectual Property & Portfolio Rights

Project Deliverables

Ownership of custom deliverables is defined by the project agreement and normally transfers after required payments are completed, except for pre-existing tools, libraries, templates, and reusable know-how.

Portfolio Display

PHP Horizons may reference completed work in a portfolio unless the project is confidential, restricted by NDA, or the client requests private handling in writing.

Acceptable Use

You may not misuse this website, contact forms, project materials, or communication channels.

  • Do not attempt unauthorized access, scanning, scraping, injection, spam, or disruption of the website or related systems.
  • Do not copy portfolio content, branding, screenshots, or page structure for misleading, fraudulent, or competing use.
  • Do not submit illegal, infringing, malicious, confidential, or unsafe materials for review or implementation.

Third-Party Services & Limitations

Projects may rely on hosting providers, domain registrars, payment processors, email services, analytics tools, app stores, APIs, or open-source packages. Their availability, pricing, policies, approvals, and outages are outside PHP Horizons' direct control.

This website and its content are provided on an "as available" basis. To the fullest extent allowed by law, PHP Horizons is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from website use, project inquiries, third-party platforms, or demo materials.

Updates to These Terms

PHP Horizons may update these terms when services, website features, or operating practices change. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page shows the latest published version. Continued use of the website after updates means you accept the revised terms.
